I participated as an interpreter at the presentation event of Shodo-shima Shuzo’s Sake in Madrid.
This kuramoto (Sake brewery) is located at the Shodo-shima island (Kagawa prefecture), which is known for the largest production of olives in Japan.
Among many hallmarks of this kuramoto, there are some outstanding characteristics: the use of yeast extracted from olives in the preparation of some of their sakes, innovation in fermentation techniques, the creation of highly qualified employment in the area, and the preservation of the traditions of the Sake preparation.
All the participants were pleasantly impressed by the wide variety of pairings that combine perfectly with their sakes.
It was a pleasure to help them promote their fantastic Sakes!
